Postgraduate Student Travel
Students must be aware of the Travelling and Working Off-Campus policies and guidelines associated with off-campus travel. If a student plans to study off campus and overseas, travel bulletin advice must be sought from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's Smartraveller website. PhD Students
The following forms are required:
- Application for Leave to Study Away (PhD) (150kb pdf) - This includes the guidelines for off campus travel.
- 2 Variable Risk Assessment form (95kb pdf) or 3 Variable Risk Assessment form (95kb pdf) - If the student is traveling to a high risk area in the course of a non-fieldwork absence.
- Fieldwork Risk Assessment - Completion of this form is a requirement of the School of Languages and Linguistics. Please complete on-line, print and ask for your supervior's signature of approval.

Masters Students
